Raphael Wettenstein is an Israeli born, and a Graduate
of the Israeli Academy of Arts. In 1965 he came to the US
to widen his artistic horizons. The next 30 years offered
him an eclectic opportunities to express his creative
talents as an illustrator, art director, film producer,
and an audio-visual educator / producer,
Recently, Raphael and his life partner Eva has retired and
moved from New York City to Livingston Manor.
Being inspired by the surrounding beauty of the Catskill
Mountains he has returned to his love of painting.
Additional inspiration was motivated by the 40th
anniversary of the Woodstock event which took place
near by in Bethel Woods.
The results is Forever Woodstock, a series of
pastel paintings in which the peace symbol is integrated in the
scenery and life style of the Catskill Mountains.
